Media Training Courses

Ever wanted to get involved in radio? Our 7 step course can set you on the right path. Once completed you have the opportunity to become a TCR fm Member and joining the team, on air or off air.

We have recruited a team to begin training in June 2010 but don't worry, sign up to our newsletter to stay up-to-date and find out when we are running another course or open day.

Course Contents:
1. Technical
Using the studio equipment - mixer, computers, microphones.

2. Radio Presentation 1
Microphone techniques and introduction to presenting.

3. Radio Presentation 2
Joining technical skills with presentation: mixer, computer and microphone.

4. Production and Editing
Training on audio production software.

5. News
Production skills, editing, and presentation technique.

6. Playlisting and Show Preparation
Show content, ordering, and timing.

7. Practice and Show Preparation
Check preparation and recap presenting skills.
